Imperium Public Strategies announces Lauren Webb as Director of State Government Affairs

Nashville, TN - Imperium Public Strategies announced today the addition of attorney and veteran government affairs professional Lauren Webb to its team as Director of State Government Affairs. Webb will oversee the company’s lobbying efforts on behalf of clients at the Tennessee General Assembly.

Webb previously served as the legislative director for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury since 2019. In that role, she led that office’s 20-person legislative team and frequently testified before the legislature and presented to committees.

Before joining the comptroller’s office, Webb served as the legislative liaison for the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration in Gov. Bill Haslam’s administration. As part of the Haslam legislative team, Webb helped guide administration legislation and policy through the General Assembly, including the annual Appropriations Act. 

During her 11-year career at the legislature, Webb helped guide more than 200 pieces of legislation to passage. In her new role, Webb will be responsible for leading Imperium’s state government affairs initiatives, developing and implementing strategies to influence policy, and ensuring clients’ interests are effectively represented at the state level.

Lauren studied at the University of Tennessee and received her law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law. She is actively involved as a member of the Archaeological Advisory Committee and the Policy Committee for the Adoption Project.
